An early collection of interrelated portraits of blues and pioneer rock musicians by the distinguished music historian and biographer; includes interviews with Muddy Waters, Johnny Shines, Robert Pete Williams, Sam Phillips, Jerry Lee Lewis and Charlie Rich. In blue boards, stamped yellow titles to spine, usual tanning to page edges, spine ends are pushed, else near fine, crisp, clean and unmarked.
