Little Milton (1934-2005), Original Checkers Records Promotional Photograph, glossy b & w, 8" by 10", boldly SIGNED, "Always, Little Milton, 9/29/95". A fine r & b and soul singer, powerful guitarist, record label owner, producer and manager, Little Milton Campbell, was one of the most versatile musicians of his generation; Mississippi born, he was steeped in the blues, and as a teenager recorded for Sam Phillips legendary Sun Records; over a five decade career Little Milton recorded notably for Chess/Checkers, Stax and Malaco Records, with hit records including, "We're Going To Make It", Who's Cheating Who", Grits Ain't Groceries" and the immortal, "That's What Love Will Make You Do". Original promotional photograph is near fine, clean, crisp, with a few scattered surface dings; the autograph is very good+, in black ink with light brushing to "Little". Autograph provenance, the extensive blues collection of the late Walter Glenn. J2286
