Arlington House, New Rochelle, NY, 1972, Stated Second Printing. Inscribed, dated and SIGNED by the author at the ffep. An exhaustively researched bio-discography of one of the most famous Swing Era orchestra leaders. This comprehensive discography covers all of Miller's recordings and broadcasts and also provides a diary form, day by day account of the orchestra's activities, from the mid 30's to the triumphs of 1939-42 and its final performance on Sept. 27 1942 in Passaic, New Jersey, after which Miller joined the Army Air Force. On Dec. 15 1944 Miller's plane disappeared over the English Channel and his body was never recovered. In blue cloth boards, slight compression to spine ends, bottom front fore corners gently bumped, else fine, tight, unmarked, in a near fine, unclipped dust jacket, touch of wear to spine ends and extremities, slight creasing to flaps. Uncommon signed copy, a must for Miller and Swing Era enthusiasts. J1356
