George Lewis & His New Orleans Stompers, “Concert!”, Blue Note, Mono LP, BN 1208, deep groove, with RVG and Plastylite P in dead wax, recorded at two live performances, May 28 1954, in Bakersfield California, released in Jan. 1959; SIGNED by the great traditional clarinetist George Lewis, and band members, trumpeter Kid Howard (who has signed twice), drummer Joe Watkins, bassist Alcide “Slow Drag” Pavageau, trombonist “Big” Jim Robinson and banjoist, Emmanuel Sayles, all significant New Orleans jazz pioneers. Cover is near fine, seams are tight with light wear to bottom edge of rear panel, record is in the original pictorial sleeve, playing surface has light scuffing and scratches, visually very good+. An uncommon grouping of traditional jazz autographs. J1882
