George Wein, jazz impresario and co-founder of the legendary Newport Jazz Festival in 1954, had prudently registered the Newport name as his personal brand when he returned to manage the festival after its resurrection in 1962. He was thus able to organize and promote regular jazz concert tours in Europe and Japan under the Newport Jazz banner and this tour featured an eclectic mix of musical talent, high-lighted by a Homage To Charlie Parker, featuring a number of musicians who had played with the great altoist.
Large, graphically powerful poster produced specifically for the Swiss concert appearances and very scarce, thus. J1757
