Jazz At The Philharmonic, Original Vintage Concert Program, First British Tour, May 2-18 1958, presented by Harold Davison in cooperation with Norman Granz. Although the JATP had been touring in Europe since 1952, the British Musicians Union ban on American musicians prevented a complete tour of the UK until 1958. The tour featured an all-star cast including, including Ella Fitzgerald, trumpeters Roy Eldridge and Dizzy Gillespie, saxophonists Stan Getz, Sonny Stitt, Coleman Hawkins and the Oscar Peterson Trio. Cover illustration by David Stone Martin, program notes by Stanley Dance and Benny Green. In original wraps, 10.5" by 8.25", [16 pp],b & w photographs, very good++, tightly stapled bound, , wraps are lightly rubbed and soiled, age toning to pages, touch of wear to spine.
