Original Jazz Concert Program, Benny Goodman Orchestra, Germany, May, 1958. SIGNED by six members of the Goodman orchestra, tenor saxophonist, Zoot Sims, pianist, Roland Hanna, singers, Jimmy Rushing and Ethel Ennis, trumpeter E.V. Perry and baritone saxophonist, Gene Allen. Goodman had assembled an all-star 20 piece band for this European concert tour, which ended with an acclaimed week-long appearance at the Brussels World's Fair, held from April-Oct. 1958, the first World's Fair after an absence of 18 years because of World War II. These concerts were extensively recorded and later released on the albums Benny In Brussels. The quality of the orchestra is exemplified by the fine musicians who signed the program and of special note is the presence of the wonderful jazz singer Ethel Ennis and the great ex-Basie blues singer, Jimmy Rushing who both had been specially selected for the band's World's Fair appearance. In bright, glossy pictorial wraps, 10 5/8" by 8 5/8", unpaginated (24 glossy pp+wraps), slightly rubbed, light wear to spine and extremities, previous owner's neat x's at the personnel page imark the band members who signed the program, front corners are mildly creased, otherwise about near fine, tightly bound, clean without further markings. Vintage concert program with an uncommon group of jazz signatures, marking an historic tour by the great clarinetist. J1221
