Ben Webster, "Soulville", Original Mono LP, Verve M GV-8274, 1957, with trumpeter logo on the label, SIGNED and inscribed by the great tenor saxophonist to Norwegian jazz trumpeter and concert producer, Eivind Solberg, on the rear panel. Ben Webster's Verve recordings from the 50's are among the strongest of his career and none better than "Soulville" featuring Oscar Peterson, piano, Herb Ellis, guitar, Ray Brown, bass, Stan Levey, drums. The cover is very good+, with a small patch of laminate loss near top right of the front panel, touch of ring wear and rubbing, cello tape to top edge, seams are otherwise tight; the record surfaces have nice luster, visually very good++, inscription and signature are near fine without loss or skipping. Ben Webster autographs are very uncommon, scarce signed to one of his best recordings. J1922
